BROTHER PROPHETS
I am honored to have been elected as Monarch of Feromo Grotto M.O.V.P.R. for the year of 2009. And as such, with the assistance of you Prophets and Ladies for a year of good fellowship.
To that effect we have changed the location of our monthly meeting to:

As per our By-Laws Stated sessions of the Grotto are to held on the second Friday in each month. The exception is January when we will meet on the 16th or third Friday due to a conflict with Deerfield Lodge Officer installation. When at this time we will install the remaining Officers of Feromo Grotto.
The Moose Lodge has a buffet dinner between the hours of 6:00 + 8:00 pm. So please arrive on time ( I would suggest 6:30 - 7:00 pm ) so as to proceed with our meeting and fellowship no later than 8:00 pm.
As you are all aware that after the sale of the Grotto Bldg., we have met at the American Legion by J. Dewey. As such, we are thankful to them for this. But as time past it became increasingly uncomfortable for most of the Prophets and their ladies. A less smoke filled and quieter environment was demanded.
After much research into possible venues we selected the Moose Lodge in Tamarac. Prophet Sol (Soly) Goldenberg and I met with directors of the Moose and stated our needs and desires. We arrived at an agreement as to the dates and times and a deal was made. At this time they will provide us with a possible tiled room at no cost if we have dinner. So at this time it's a win-win situation.
So there is no longer a reason to be absent from our meeting because the Ladies are not comfortable. I also will limit the tiled communications to just a few, and have one only as required for some business affairs. Thus the Ladies will not be required to retire and we will be able to use their suggestions when planning social events. Let the Ladies feel a part of the Grotto if they so hopefully desire.
Some strides have been made with sorely needed help from Brother Ron Anania in setting up a website. Until we have all completed, we are using the Ft. Lauderdale Shrine Club website WWW.FLSCLUB.ORG with several pages reserved for Feromo Grotto.
Prophets assistance is required for the following tasks:
A webmaster for the website
A newsletter editor
A social director
So please do not all rush to help. But volunteer as your ability permits.
I am looking forward to a full year of activities and sincerely hope to see many of you at the monthly fellowship. It's you that will make it possible to revive some of the forgotten good times past.
